The last 5 times I've flown with a layover there were problems/delays with the connecting flight:( I plan to schedule only direct flights in the future even if it isn't the most economical or convenient.

The check in process was very simple as it was not crowded at all at the airports. I was somewhat alarmed that the Southwest check-in clerk at LAX did not check our ideas. The comfort of the seats was typical for Southwest. The service was good. The flights were generally on time. They ultimately arrived several minutes early.

One nutty flight attendant aside, Jet Blue remains a good value with reliable friendly service. I plan on using them in the future.

With over 1.5 million miles, I obviously, like this airline. Upgrade came through both ways and service was great! Both flights arrived early and uneventful! Crew acknowledged returning military and passengers gave a round of applause and thanks! Great experience as usual!

Our flight was supposed to be a non-stop one from LAX to Austin, but a passing storm over Austin forced us to land in Dallas and refuel. American, like other airlines, are now putting just enough fuel on board to make the flight, plus a reserve of 30 minutes. Of course when we landed, the storm over Austin had blown out, so we re-fueled and took off again, costing the airline more than if they'd put more fuel on the plane initially. The flight was OK (no peanuts or any snack at all). At least AA gives you a whole can of soda, not just a few ounces and lots of ice. The crew was apologetic and the passengers apathetic, but this detour did add about 90 minutes to our flight. Add the time delay to the $100 in baggage fees did make my blood boil a bit. I passed on the $8 blankie and pillow, the $2 earphones and the $7 cocktail. The toilet and seat were free, at least.

Southwest always puts the customer first. Cheerful flight attendants with a giggle to help you along, helpful check in staff and overall thoroughly enjoyable flights.
