It was a good flight, the flight service was very good, or as good as it is now, with limited snacks!! But the flight attendants themselves were all great. The one disappointing thing was that the games are no longer free. I remember last time I was able to play solitaire for free but this time you had to pay $6. Have no real complaints about flight though, all went pretty smoothly.

On our out going flight the Delta rep working at the podium was not very nice, she was abrasive as well as having a bad attitude. In my opinion and years of flying consistantly it definately made me rethink about the airline before I fly again, for I have had similar experiences while flying Delta. My conclusion is that cheaper isnt always better!

I will never fly air tran again because of the ride. The seating is so small and cramped i couldn't even open my laptop and my legs were cramped the entire flight. The attendants were nice but older and harried looking, check-in was as good as can be expected, departed and arrived on time which was cool but they charge you to pick your seat which is really cheap of them and charge you for priority boarding, very greedy. The worst thing of all those was the cramped tight seating and that's why i will never fly with them again.

I was lucky to be seated to really nice and personable passngers both to and from LA. It seems as though the passenger leg room is becoming almost non-existant. I had to get a quite a few times during the flight to stretch my legs, for fear that I would lose all circulation in them.

aFTER BOARDING, WE SAT IN THE PLANE FOR OVER AN HOUR BECAUSE OUR PILOT HAD TO DRIVE UP FROM SAN DIEGO. DURING THIS TIME THE AIR CONDITIONING WORKED ONLY INTERMITTENTLY. BEFORE WE LEFT, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT REARRANGED ALL OF THE OVERHEAD BAGGAGE, STATIN G THAT THE PLANE WAS FULL AND THEY WOULD NEED THE ROOM. HE MOVED OUR STUFF 12 ROWS BEHIND US WHILE THE COMPARTMENT ABOVE US REMAINRED EMPTY THE ENTIRE TRIP. ON TH TRIP BACK, WE WAITED AT OUR DESIGNATED GATE UNTIL JUST A FEW MINUTES BEFORE BOARDING TIME WHEN THEY SUDDENLY ANNOUNCED A GATE CHANGE (ABOUT 2 BLOCKS DOWN THE CONCOURSE IN THE OTHER DIRECTION). MY HUSBAND WALKS WITH A CANE FROM A KNEE INJURY SO THIS WAS BOTH PAINFUL AND ANNOYING. WHEN WE FINALLY FINISHED BOARDING, THEY ANNOUNCED THAT WE WOULDN'T BE LEAVING ON TIME BECAUSE WE HAD TO WAIT FOR THE PILOT TO GET THERE! AFTER 45 MINUTES WE WERE FINALLY ON THE RUNWAY AND 6TH IN LINE FOR TAKEOFF WHEN WE HAD TO TURN AROUND AND GO BACK BECAUSE SOMEONE HADN'T LATCHED THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT. tHEN WE HAD TO WAIT FOR A SPACE TO PARK THE PLANE. . .THEN WE HAD TO WAIT FOR A CREW TO COME LATCH THE DOOR. . .THEN WE HAD TO WAIT FOR THE PILOT TO WRITE UP AN INCIDENT REPORT. . .THEN WE HAD TO GET BACK IN LINE. iT ONLY ADDED AN EXTRA 3 HOURS TO OUR FLIGHT AND THEY DID OFFER TO SELL US FOOD, THAT IS UNTIL THEY RAN OUT. DID I MENTION THAT THE PLANE WAS NOT PARTICULARLY CLEAN? AND THAT THE CREW WAS NOT PARTICULARLY FRIENDLY? I WILL DRIVE, RIDE THE TRAIN OR TAKE A BOAT THROUGH THE PANAMA CANAL BEFORE I BOOK ANOTHER TRIP I BOOK ANOTHER TRIP WITH DELTA.

Although the flight departed as advertised and arrived a few minutes early, we sat on the runway for 90 minutes when the Atlanta airport closed due to severe thundershowers. It meant we had to stay in our worn out seats and terribly crushed cushions for a total of 6.5 hours - my back was killing me by the time we left the airport.

Our experience with Delta is that the plane NEVER leaves on time and the weather is not the reason. Flight was comfortable, bags came out in a reasonable amount of time.

Despite bad weather in Atlanta (we circled Rome, GA for an hour) AirTran did everything they could to make us comfortable!! The seats on the 737 were very narrow and I sat for 5 hours with my seatmate's elbow in my ribs...

I waited almost an hour in the line for checking boarding passes and identification documents; the line stretched outside the LAX Delta terminal for about two blocks. Luckily they advanced those waiting for an approaching flight (11:45 AM in my case)and the baggage and personal checking line was fairly rapid. Explanation: 2 officials in the first line and six gates in the second. Fortunately I made the flight by 5 minutes, then sat on the ground for an hour while they rerouted the flight because of bad weather in the middle of the country. Oddly, the return flight from Atlanta was right on time with no security line delays.

Sure, there were no blankets, pillows, food, etc. But the flight went on time and arrived on time. With one real comedian in the group, and most of the crew very friendly, I forget (for a while) that the airline actually offered me the chance to get on early so I could increase my chances of having room in the overhead for a $5 fee. Align your expectations and pack food, drink, and a sweater!
