Departure was delayed 2 hours waiting for a flight attendant. 200 passengers inconvenienced because of one flight attendant! Then in Philadelphia luggage for about one third of the passengers was lost for about 90 minutes. Not sure if it was US Airways fault or the Philadelphia airport but it was incompetence. No one noticed the last cart of luggage was waiting to be delivered

Either way, the staff of US Airways had no clue how to assist a large number of frustrated passengers. The best they could do was call the police when one passenger tried to express the frustration. US Airways needs customer service training.

Leaving Las Vegas they flew 1/2 hur and decided we ahd to return to Las Vegas for maintance.... 1 hour extra in the air and one hour on the ground we finally left for Philadelphia....

Returning home to Las Vegas. After boarding and before take off they noticed a smell. CANCELLED THE FLIGHT.... Luckily I called reservations from the plane amd also got in line at customer service. Got a flight thru Phoenix stand by and another fight ticketed. In short 13 hours later I arrived in Las Vegas insted of 5 1/2 hours. Luckilier than others that were delayed until the next day. Also at the same time they had grounded a plane taking off to San Franscisco that they reboarded shortly after we were cancelled. That's four US AIRWAYS planes that had mechanical problems. Now that I am home I have spoken to several [people that also stated they had simular incidents with US AIRWAYS. Thinking they may be to dangerous to fly. I have flown strickly US AIRWAYS for the past three years. Not anymore...

Even it is a short time of the transit, the luggage still made it. Flight is comfortable. The in-flight services are good.

Delta and US Air charges check-in baggage. If flying Delta, dont forget to bring headphones or you can purchase them for 2 dollars on the flight.

I used to hate standing in line waiting to board but now you can join a line based on your number shortly before you have to board. This is a much better system. You can choose a good seat if you remember to get your boarding pass twenty four hours in advance of the flight and not a minute before. There is a new early boarding plan in that you pay a fee to beat the clock watchers so even if you use the internet at the very first opportunity to get your pass, you may not get the A section at all because you didn't pay a fee. This is still better than the price gauging of other airlines. You can still take two bags for free and as we all know that is a major plus, a competitive advantage. The only caution I have is that some of the stewards have lost their sense of humor and few really do assist passengers but this is a problem for all airlines and not just Southwest.
