This was the alltime worst flying experience ever!
Spirit charges you extra for all carry on, all checked, advance seat selection and lousy meals.
The return flight from LGA to LAS on Tuesday July 13, 2010 was cancelled, with no available Spirit flight until FRIDAY. No allowance for hotels, meals, complimentary H2O, or transportation. Several flights were cancelled; Spirit employees at JFK and LGA were like pit bulls in thier attitude towards all passengers. We apparently messed up their day by being stuck without our medication and not real happy to be inconvenienced by their unexplained difficulties with their planes.

Games played to get you to request upgrade of seating. Second leg of trip, Denver to LaGuardia, canceled with no explanation! Paid $25 for each bag checked. Luggage went to LaGuardia, we ended up in Newark. Luggage was delivered to us in NYC 3 days later! This was booked with CheapOAir, appeared we were traveling with Continental, however, it was a shared flight with United. Never told we had to check in with United. Very bag flying experience - and we are experienced travelers!
