i was supposed to fly from Kansas City at 9:00 a.m. to Minneapolis, have 90

minute layover and fly on to California.

Not long before we were to begin boarding Delta announced that they were

mechanical problems and the mechanics were being flown in and the flight

would not leave for at least 3 hours.

Everyone had to leave the boarding area and attempt to rebook flights. It

was a nightmare.

At one point they offered to get me to Salt Lake City at 10:30 that night,

then suggested I go to San Diego and take the train to L.A. and the last

suggestion was K.C. to Minneapolis to Atlanta to L.A., w/ arrival 14 hours

later.

Finally, they moved me to American. I had to change terminals, then flew to

Dallas and on to L.A. arriving only 1 1/2 hrs late. American was excellent.

Great service on and off the plane.
