I had a good experience with Unoted. I was shocked that a 7 hour flight had no snack/meal service. Food was available for purchase. I bought sandwiches at the terminal. However, on the flight home, all of the services were closed in HNL. We flew on Delta a month ago, and we got complimentary snacks on a 2 hr flight.

Our trip was long and the airline service was very good. I still think they could serve snacks for free.

We expected some degree of discomfort since it was a long flight and we aren't regular air travelers, but the new rules governing in-flight food, drinks and amenities, like earphones for movie , music and t.v., blankets and pillows and snacks/drinks is ridiculous.--I don't mind purchasing these things if they are priced even close to resonable but the price gouging in that situation is criminal--For instance $4 for a lunchbox size bag of cheese nips--I and those around me just decided to starve for 8 1/2 hours rather than have Sucker tatooed on our heads.

I travel a lot back and forth from Oahu Hawaii and will always pay a little extra to fly Continental. The huge 757 has good leg room even when the guy in front reclines his seat all the way back. Each seat has its own monitor, which is nice. Crew is usually always personable and on the early flight from Hawaii and back, they still serve a hot meal. But when I travel on teh mainland, I have a Continental credit card so my first bag is free, plus I rack up some miles traveling from here. On the mainland always Southwest because of the price.
