I took my standard sized carryon luggage to Maui over two flights. When I took the first leg back from Maui to Honolulu, I was told when boarding the flight to San Fran that my carryon was too big! I have been using this suitcase for years without so much as an implication that it was too big. They forced my daughter and I (and many others) to check our bags at the gate. When I asked if they would charge me for it, I was told in a rather snotty tone, "No, but we should. We just don't have billing capability here." She was the rudest airline employee that I've EVER encountered.
