Good leg room, reasonably comfortable seats,ON TIME, humorous flight attendants, no extra baggage charges. Will use SouthWest again if possible.

My return was delayed/rescheduled. Seats are tight if seatmate(s) are overgrown. I arrived safely both times. Orlando terminal needs update

Booked flights online, printed boarding passes and prepaid for seats ($6 each) and three bags ($15 each); quick and easy. Took Airtran to Orlando on July 17, non stop from Indy, departing around 10 a.m.. Arrived airport hour before departure, did the usual curbside check in, whizzed through security and off to the gate. Had a snack and boarded. Weather great, no problems, arrived early. Off the plane, over to baggage claim, where I stopped to use the restroom and when I stepped out, the guys had the bags! Down to Enterprise and accross to ground transport and into the rental car; all took less then 30 minutes! Return trip, dropped off car, hour before flight, curbside check in, slogged through security (busy place, Orlando) and off to the gate, for 8 p.m. flight. Quick snack, onto plane, again, weather good (fantastic sunset), storms around Indy, couple of bumps here and there, arrived early, off the plane, down to baggage, where suitcases were waiting on us! Look up "efficient" in the dictionary and see a picture of AirTran. The service, all the way through, on and off planes, was very good. Everyone polite, well trained, and often doing job w/great good humor. Have flown this airpline in the past, and will continue to do so. Only small complaint; our two sons, ages 21 and 17, have long legs, which put the knees up against or to either side of seat in front, so may start doing exit aisles for a bit more leg room. Entire trip, as far as airlines/rental cars concerned, uneventful, which equals wonderful, in my book.

My husband who is 6'2" had his knees directly against the seat in front of him. If that person would have reclined her seat, I don't know where he would have put his knees. It was very uncomfortable for him.

The AirTran experience was positive from online reservations and checkin to the actual flight. Employees were helpful with my husband, who needed wheelchair assistance.

Smooth Flight and on time. We had exit row seats with more leg room...very comfortable. Only problem was condensation dripping from cabin celing. Would take Air Tran again.

Flights were good, but I can't help thinking that additional fees for a shipped bag are a crock! It sure makes me think twice about using Southwest instead of any other airline. And I think that paying in advance to select a seat is wrong, too. When will airlines realize that these additional fees will make people less likely to fly??

7am flight Indy to Orlando left early and got to MCO 20 minutes early! How's that for a good start to a vacation!
4:20 pm flight home got moved up an hour to 3:05. Plane originally scheduled was not available so got a bigger plane. Plenty of leg room and it left on time too.
Airtran still gives free soda and pretzels or cookies, which is as it should be. My only complaint has to do with charging for baggage and seat selection. Just put it in the ticket price and stop nickel & diming us to death! It's a hassle to have to pay extra and who are they kidding - just tell us the real total price up front and let us pay all at once.
All in all, a very good experience. I have been very fortunate with my many flights with Airtran. Hope my luck doesn't run out!
