i was flying out on may the 12-20 omg got to airport @3pm..and flight didn't leave until 11:20 pm that night didn't get to my room until 3am that morning wow so fly allegiant..if you like siting at the airport.....

This was my first flight ever. I can only think that the pilot was experienced, because I never knew when we took off or landed in Florida. Everything was so smooth. On the return trip to Huntington, WVA, there was more turbulance and the landing was very rough. But all in all, good flight and low price.

We were supposed to leave from HTG - they busses us to Charleston,WV - waited there for three hours and then cancelled the flight - gave no reason or any alternatives. There was no Allegient counter at this airport to help us with alternative flights. We had to be in FLL the next morning and were stuck. I had to rent a car and drive 16 hours to get there. I had to drive all night and i was the only driver. We drove through, heavy rain, snow and sleet. It was absolutely awful. I will never use Allegient again. And they said they are not going to refund my fair.

We selected priority boarding to avoid hassle of trying to get overhead space for carry-on bags & that was worth it as open boarders struggled to squeeze bags in we were already relaxed & ready to fly. We only had to go through metal detectors, no full body scan or pat downs although some were selected for pat downs at HTS but the screeners were personable & the passengers didn't seem to mind, however, if I had to have it done, I'd want a curtain between the screening & the passengers who were sitting in the waiting area who could observe the entire process.

Extra for bags, for seats, for drinks, for reservations online or with a call center. You get what you pay for, but non-stop service to Florida from small markets is great.

r/t for 2 $187 but had to watch for specials. Also, surcharges everywhere, can get out of most of them if you look around. The one I couldn't beat was a convenience charge of $28, asked what that was for and they said was for booking online yet there is a surcharge if you don't book online, so they got you coming and going. More of an INconvenience charge. Flights were OK, no hassle, but more of a cattle boat operation. You get what you pay for.

I went for a cheap flight and got it. They try to surcharge for everything, from purchasing a seat, priority boarding and baggage charge. I managed to not pay for any of that but could not get around the (in)convenience fee. When I asked what that was they said it was for booking online yet somewhere on their site they mentioned a surcharge for not booking online, makes no sense. Round trip price for was 187, so if you don't mind the inconvenience of boarding last, the price was great. Oh, even though I could not get a boarding pass or seat assignment online and had to show up early, they did issue a seat assignment when checking in, so it was not a complete free for all. Flight itself was great, arrived early both directions and it was direct, about 2 hours, nice.
