The flight itself was fine. The problem was that it left 3hrs and 10 mins late. The seats on the aircraft are rather narrow.

This was my first...and last...flight on AirTran. Problems w/ kiosks both in Houston and Atlanta. Houston personnel unfriendly and slow. Takeoff 40 min late from Atlanta. Not able to choose seats online so separated from spouse on flight from Atlanta. Overall, my experience with AirTran was NOT pleasant.

I was on a one-way flight after driving with my daughter, as she was moving to Houston. The flight was on time. I did notice that the beverage cup was tiny! It must have held only 3-4 ounces.

The head flight attendant on this trip offered to move me to one specific location, while I noted there were several open seats, which I pointed out to her when telling her I was being sat on. She told me that she could offer me only the one location, that or nothing.
The woman in 17A immediately raised the arm rest between the two seats upon entering the aisle, because she knew she wouldn't fit in the one seat. I could not raise my own seat up when getting ready to land, because this woman was on both parts of my seat.
While I dislike the idea of discriminating against someone due to their size, either the seats (even in coach!)have to be bigger or people have to be asked up front with every reservation if they will have difficulty fitting into a regular seat. The humane thing to do is to make the seats bigger - as in FIRST CLASS.

my flight was terrible bags did not arrive until 10 hrs later. imagine that, then on the way home got sick on the plan sause the way the plane was going up nand down and the weather was not bad at all then we had to exit from the back and walk downstairs in the heat and then up more stairs,there was no emergency..

All the AitTran personnel were friendly and helpful. Flight went well and on time. Using AirFareWatchdog is the way to go.

Good: on time departure & arrival, friendly staff, smooth flight, low fare. And if you want a quick non-stop between Houston & Atlanta, there are several to choose from every day.
Bad: old planes that had broken arm rests on both flights (one even had wires hanging out of it) and the seats are the most cramped and uncomfortable of any airline I've flown. Luckily the flight is less than 2 hrs.

One flight attendant was very pleasant, personable.
The second attendant was rude to the gentleman sitting in front of us.
