This was our first Southwest flight. Everyone was terrific. While it was confusing at first for seat selection, we learned their method quickly. The passengers, the crew, the stewards and stewardesses were all terrific - a very positive feeling prevailed throughout. Made for a great first experience. Lots of attention to the passengers; warm, caring, and eager crews. Happy we chose Southwest this time and will again if we can every time.

Seats are entirely too close together. If the passenger in front of you declines his seat he is literally in your lap. If a passenger is over 120 pounds and over 5 feet 5 inches tall - he or she has a problem. If there is a child in the lap of a parent next to you - you are "dead in the water". I realize that airlines are in trouble financially but the comfort of the economy passenger has been grossly compromised. It would also be helpful if the arm rest on the aisle seats are allowed to be raised as on our cross country flights there may be a number of times when you are required to get out of your seat to allow the middle seat and window seat passengers get out to go to the rest room, etc. The average person today is larger and taller than ten years ago and the seats are considerably narrower and the rows of seats are closer together which makes for much discomfort, especially on long flights. It also makes one more likely to suffer from poor circulation and possibly blood clots in the legs - a very dangerous result of the seating room.
