after arriving 10 minutes early at Dallas we then waited 20 minutes on the taxi way because our gate was occupied. after 20 minutes it was discovered? that the plane at our gate had mechanical problems and we were sent to another gate at another terminal. We then proceeded as fast as possible to get back to our original terminal where our connection plane was already boarded and the door had closed. Although the plane was still there, and American knew that it had several passangers who were delayed from there own flight, and the reasons for it, they would not hold the plane for us (all of 1 extra minute). We were then booked on another flight 2 hours later. In the airlines the customers always come last.
