This was our 3rd flight with Delta. We changed our flight, because the original flight we booked with Delta was delayed/pushed later by 3 hours, so Delta switched us to another flight free of charge, but failed to tell us that our seats would not be together. If I could have switched airlines prior to this flight, I would have. On this 3rd flight, our flight was delayed again. There was a problem with one of the landing wheels. We were delayed about 45-50 minutes. Which made everyone tense on the flight about making their connections, with good reason, because many people could not be re-routed and everyone had to literally run to their next flight. We barely made our connection. I highly doubt people who had 10 minutes when we landed made it to the other concourses for their flights- if they did, that means those flights were delayed too. The plane seats were crowded, but we had personal tv screens behind the seat. Unfortunately- You have to pay an average of $5 to $6 to play games (except in flight trivia)or watch any movies. Free Satellite tv was limited but good. For the holidays, Delta is offering free wifi on their flights. The flight attendants tried to accommodate passengers questions, but apparently too many people were asking, so one got on the PA and said "you all are stressing me out" so she gave everyone info on how to check connections when we land or use the wifi on board.
We were the last of 3 people to board our plane and there was no overhead space, so we had to walk up to the flight attendants and they checked our bags for us for free. Our connection left about 10 minutes late, and we landed 30 minutes later than scheduled. On the second, longer leg of our flight, the plane did not have the televisions behind the seat, but felt like a little more leg room. We got free peanuts and cookies.
Due to the delays and stress with Delta on this flight. As well as the delays we had on our prior two flights, we wont be flying with Delta again until we've heard real improvement. It's just not worth it.
