Easy check in, flight on time, plane was clean and staff was friendly. I really like using Delta's new phone App- made check super easy- one feature even allows you to take a picture and add notes of where you've parked your car at the airport if needed.

Didn't need to check any bags, however, I do think that their checked baggage fees are unfair. If they make you check your bag at the gate to supposedly save room in the overhead bins and are placing them in the cargo(for free)-what's the difference? Weight of the plane is still the same. Just sayin!

I purchased 3 tickets for this flight on 8/12/10 and paid $75.00 for 3 checked bags in advance. We have discovered today, that Spirit is giving passengers 2 free checked bags for this flight, apparently because Spirit has increased the baggage fees recently after the flight was booked. If I didn't pay for the bags in advance, I would have 6 free checked bags for this flight. I talked to a representative, she said she would issue me a $75.00 credit for a future flight, and give me 1 free checked bag per person. Our friends that are traveling on the same flight did not pay for bags in advance, and are receiving 2 free bags per person, without paying anything. If I had known this would happen, I would not have paid for my bags in advance. I will probably never use the $75.00 credit, as I have no travel plans in the next year.

I am unhappy with the resolution to this situation, and I feel I should be credited $75.00 back to my credit card. It is not fair that passengers that paid in advance should be penalized and passengers that waited should be rewarded. This is my first experience traveling with Spirit, and it leaves me feeling unhappy about my experience.

The check in for our 1 bag had a line all the way through the airport due to them only having 2 check in people. i gave a spirit guy $20 to move me up in line so i wouldn't miss my flight. after all that the flight was delayed 1 1/2hrs.

In flight the flight attendent sold me a coffee and charged my debit card. my wife asked about water and when they told her the price, she declined. they billed my debit card for the water anyway.

the seats are the hardest i had ever sat on and hardly reclined more than a few inches.

While Spirit did provide pretezels on this flight, passengers cannot even have a complimentary glass of water to drink while on this 3 hour flight.

Our flight was delayed due to mechanical failure. After 1 1/2 hours in the plane at the gate/tarmack, we deboarded. There was only 2-3 Delta service agents for a full plane of 180 people to rebook flights and to issue vouchers. We stood in line for over 2 hours and received lodgings and a dinner voucher of $6.00. Dinner for $6.00 is absolutely ridiculous. I had to insist on a breakfast voucher, but was refused a lunch voucher. We were reissued a flight for the next day, but it had a 2 hour layover. Our original flight was non stop. I asked for seat assignments, but was told none could be issued until tomorrow. I asked why and the agent did not know. So disorganized.

I tried to book my own flight with another airline, but after talking with 3 agents, I was told Delta would not honor my own personal arrangments. So disorganized.

I asked for our luggage and was initially told the luggage was going straight through to Detroit. I inisted and after the agent made calls, we were told where we could pick up our luggage. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. So disorganized.

We went to luggage claim, and the agent had to ask other agents how to secure our luggage. The luggage handler brought out 1 piece luggage and we had to re-do the process to receive our other 2 pieces of luggage. So disorganized.

Overall, Delta management has not properly trained their staff in these types of situations. They need to get their act together.

I feel I suffered financially because we had a direct flight, which is more costly and a $6.00 dinner voucher and no lunch voucher caused me out of pocket expenses.
