Our return flight was horrible.I bought tickets last January. We were given ZONE 99? Which means OVERBOOKED flight. We could not board the plane unless others voluntarily gave up their seasts, had to hold the plane up from takeoff and then I couldnt sit with my husband. The airport staff stated this was a daily occurrance!!!!Then the stewartess didnt offer me any drinks/food. AND you have to PAY for your drink.food

Their website would not advance to print boarding passes so we paid $20 to talk to someone, who in the end did not charge us for baggage going and coming, so we had to deal with that at the airport. We were on a bereavement trip and already stressed, and one woman at the Ft. Lauderdale airport could not have been more obnoxious. Chicago people were fine, but my husband could not fit his legs in his seat and luckily moved up a couple of rows, but we had paid for some pretty awful seats. 1st time Spirit flyers, doubt we'll be back.

we paid for seating, 4 bags to be checked and 2 of those were golf clubs. we checked them in curbside and had to pay 2.00 per bag for curbside check in not including tip. when we got to the gate, after paying 100.00 to check bags, they were offering free bag check to those people too cheap to pay out front. I hope I never have to fly spirit again.

I understand that airlines are trying to make money but charging for water??? I can understand charging for soda and juice but water??? I know that Spirit will be charging for checked baggage August 1st but to not give someone a cup of water w/o charging $3 for a bottle was pretty cheap in my opinion. Also the flight up was delayed by 35-45 minutes and the flight back by 90 minutes which made the return arrival time 12:30am - yuck!

This was the first time I have ever flown Southwest & was a little nervous about the whole "no seat assignment thing"....but did the early bird check in (extra $10) to get first seating & it was great. They line you up before your flight according to your boarding number & you file onto the plane; pick a seat; you leave on time. The seats are leather; the crew was so happy; actually so were all the passengers. Left on time; arrived 10 min. early & I will fly them again!!!!!
