Spirit seems to be modeling it's fare structure after the cut rate European airlines. They pull you in with a super low fare and then nickle and dime you for everything else. I don't mind the concept but they're not up front about the extra charges. If you need the extra services (like taking a purse and a carry on), you'll soon be paying more than a full fare airline flight

no delays. Easy check-in. On time. seats were not comfortable. Both of us had backaches by the time we landed.

Wonderful flight. The only thing was before the flight, involving reservation. I went thru Travelocity....I will NEVER do that again. To much trouble and from now on, I will book directly with AirTran.

Nice flight, but short on legroom. Flight attendants did a good job with beverages, and were very pleasant. Easy check-in.

the flight was pretty good. it was late leaving ft. lauderdale but made up time in the air, must have gotten a good tail wind going!!! Only took about an hour and 10 minutes to get to atlanta where is was suppose to have taken about 2 hours. the only complaint i have is when the refreshments, i guess that's what you would call them, were passed out, no one serving even stopped at where i was with two other passengers and asked if we wanted anything. that sort of made me mad because i was thirsty and wanted to get a coke to drink. i tried to eye contact with one of the male flight attendants and he didn't bother to even look in the direction of where i was sitting, other than that, the flight was good.

everything was fine except for the delay on my return flight for mechanical reasons. we were delayed about an hour but had to change gates. at least the gate change was in the same concourse (atl) but at the oppostite end. airtran is fairly good about customer service in a time most airlines don't seem to put that very high on their list!

Our flight from FLL to ATL was delayed due to "crew rest." AH... DONT THEY KNOW THIS PROBLEM AHEAD OF TIME! The flight was delayed to the point that I almost missed my connecting flight from ATL to BOS. The flight crew from FLL to ATL seemed irritated and not very friendly. When we got into ATL the plane was further delayed because the taxing to the gate required that the plan cross the landing strip to get to the concourse and to the gate. The most ridiculous and dangerous taxi pattern I have ever seen at an airport. This is just an accident waiting to happen. I don't know if Delta has any say in how the airport is run but if I were them I would certainly let them know how concerned I was over how this airport traffic patterns are endangering peoples lives. Is this a matter for the FAA to deal with? All in all it was not a pleasant experience and I don't know if I will be traveling on Delta any time soon. Also, the plan was dirty and seedy. Maybe because it was an older plane. Even though just because its old doesn't mean it can't, at least, be clean. I will say that the connecting Delta flight from ATL to BOS went without a hitch and it was a good experience.

Somehow Airtran has really gotten their act together. Not only do they serve you drinks and give you pretzels, but the flight crew were so polite and happy. It was a lovely experience. Oh, and you could actually understand what they were saying with each announcement they made!!!

We were delayed on the ground (no water-no respite) for over 2 hours.
Crammed in like sardines-it was an awful experience. On that flight and the return flight, the stewardess who made the announcements rushed through so that I couldn't understand a word she said.
Took an upgrade on the return flight--not quite so bad and on time.
