Weather in Chicago delayed our flight 1 hr. Crew and staff apoligized. Inflight crew seemed friendly until kids from several families got out of control on the first leg of this trip. At that point the flight attendents seemed to disappear. I think they did a mid-flight change:). I know I wanted to. When we landed at lax passengers continueing on were told to stay seated and after there was a head count we could get up and move around/change seats if we wanted. But, no sooner did they do the head count we were informed that there was going to be a plane change that the plane was now not going to our destination. We were told to deplane and go to a different gate. There we did not need a boarding pass we were to show id to board and continue our trip. We were also told that we would pre-board. So my husband and I are in line to board and there were now instructions to cross your name off a list and board. At least 8 people boarded the plane before us and not one was asked for id. I have my passport and show that to the gate agent. My husband didn't show id or as far as I know no one else did either. I sat in the emergency row window seat. When I sat down my husband thought I hit something. No cush in the seat what so ever and the seat was accually smaller than to other seats in the row.
The rest of the trip was uneventful.
