West Jet is a good no frills airline with good flight times direct to Vegas. You have to do alot of online research to get the best flight price with them. In my case it was cheaper to buy a package rather than just flights. Check west Jet vacations to verify you get the best deal. I took the cheapest hotel in the package and just used the flight portion. Crazy Huh?

Spent 8 1/2 hours at the airport. Every 1 1/2 hours, they would update us with a "still having mechanical difficulties" report. Glad we weren't sittling on the plane and that the problem kept us on the ground. Couldn't get another flight until the next morning. Since we were only going for 3 days, and would miss out meeting, we are not waiting to see what kind of refund/compensation we will get.

My husband and I took a short vacation to Las Vegas with Sunwing Vacations. It was terrific! We departed a few minutes early, and landed a few minutes early. We were treated to a hot sandwich on the way down, and also on the way back. The cabin service on Sunwing is first rate! The other air carriers could take a page from their notebook!

prefer a non-stop flight. Don't see why we have to land in Calgary & transfer planes when Edmonton is a major airport.

Never flew with Sunwing before and was very pleasantly surprised. Our flights both ways were on time and very professionally handled by the cabin staff. Even with flights of only 2 hours and 40 minutes, were were given free hot panini sandwiches and the usual drinks and packages of salty snacks. The headphones were free and the movies were pretty good.
No complaints at all!

United has great customer service and serves the Edmonton to US market well. United is frequently on or ahead of time and aims to please. The down sides of the airline is that many of their aircraft are old. Many lack any kind of seat back or other entertainment and the seats are often dirty and stained. Charge for Bagage. Charge for legroom. Would it be too much to ask for a bag of pretzels?
