Will never fly Spirit again!!! I was on a flight and was sitting next to a military person who had been flying 21 hours from Afghanistan. He was cold, hungry and extremely tired. He was only going to be home for 6 weeks before returning to Afghanistan. I asked the stewardess if he could have a blanket and something to eat. She was extremely rude and refused. Seeing as this is apparently how they treat our solders, I have no use for them. I have told everyone I know about what happened and I know that some of them no longer fly Spirit.

The airline is famous for charging for everything but all things considered after paying additional for carry-on bag and seat assignments which nearly doubled the price of the ticket I still beat the price of a similar flight a friend made the same week flying Delta/Midway. Check-in boarding were both smooth as was the round trip flight. Plenty of space overhead for carry on bag which I didn't have on a recent Delta flight. As a result my new leather bag intended for carry on had to be checked and the bag was damaged. I enjoy flying Spirit dispite the numerous surcharges.

Flight was fine. At the first check at security, I was told my license was expired and I could not use it another time. When it was checked a second time, they said it was ok. After going through security, I checked and found it was expired. The problem was how was I going to return to Detroit without a current license for identification.

My husband and I were traveling to Florida unexpectedly, as I had just found out my oldest sister had passed. It was a very sad time for me and the trip was hassle and stress free because of our experience with US Airways. I am very thankful for that!

I sat with a couple of flight attendants that were not working the flight we were on. They were flying home and were passengers just as I was. That was probably the most enjoyable flight I ever had sitting next to strangers. The flight really flew by as we spoke just about the entire way. I hope the airlines realize what loyal and nice people they have working for them.

Spirit is great for low fares...but watch out for the add on's, baggage fees & pre seat assignments they can easily add $100+ to what you pay. Plus their seats are the worst compaired to the same plane A320 on Delta, Frontier and US Air...from my face to the back of the seat in front is less than 12"! all the magazine pockets are broken so your knees are always rubbing on the seat in front of you and then the arm rests squeek when putting them up and down...but hey if you have no luggage and don't mind a middle seat for 2 hours my last 2 R/T's Detroit to Tampa were $57 each! Can't be beat...and the flight attendents are great!

Although we were an hour late arriving in Tampa, it was a real quick flight. Delay in arrival was due to a line up for de-icing the plane in Detroit. I would rather be de-iced then de-crashed.

sat in the exit aisle cold air coming in around the exit door froze to death. my question is when booking two people traveling together why would the airline not put them together? we had to change the seats when checking in to be together. Not having to wait for our luggage was great. Overall the flight was a very good experience.

The good news Spirit's return flight was cancelled, they booked me on SW that got into Detroit 10 minutes after the original was to arrive. Bad stuff: seating in coach is exceptionally tight. The back of the front seat is less than 12" from my face, the arm rests squeek when you put them up and down and the pockets on most of the seats in front of you are broken thus hit your knees which makes it uncomfortable. But hey for the price they cannot be beat. I take this flight every month.

the price is right, the fron seats are comfortable, only 2 across. Best way to fly especially if you're a person of size.--Otherwise Spirit flights are packed in like cattle and you pay for everything!

The check-in process was fast and smooth. We checked in 2 hours before our flight. Because we didn't pre-purchase seats, we ended up in the back row of the plane. It seemed like the seats were extra narrow and had people lined up in the aisle for the bathroom (in spite of airline regulations).

A passenger had a medical emergency about 45 minutes into a 2-1/2 hour flight. The crew was more than professional in their handling of this situation, and if we had not heard the announcement, "Is there a doctor on board," most of the passengers would not have been aware of the situation. Upon landing a request made was to wait until medical personnel had escorted their "special passenger" off the plane. Kudos to the crew.

There was nothing fancy about this airline, but it did not lack or linger behind any other airlines. We were treated well and courtiously. The only complaint I might have is that the plane could have been more cleanly. There was trash in the magazine bins and gum in the catalog/magazine pages. When I handed them to the attendant she seemed a bit put off.
