As a NWA frequent flier, I used to think that it was the worse airline, however, since Delta has taken over NWA, I now know that it wasn't the worse airline because Delta has successfully convinced me that they deserve that moniker.

Last week I was flying to Portland OR to Detroit (one stop) via Delta. The last time I made this trip, about a year ago, it was very simple. I checked my bag near the door, gave a tip, then went through the TSA screening, and went to my gate. I checked in online the night before. I arrived in plenty of time. 2 hours for a domestic flight. There was no one to take the bag. I saw a huge, long line for bag checking. That line was NOT marked clearly. People were millling around wondering where to go. I checked in the day before, so at least that step was taken care of. Many people in the line thought they could check in and check their bag. No, they had to get out of line and go to a monitor to check in. After an hour wait, I got to the front of the line and was given a baggage tag and told to go to another kiosk and give them the bag. Why couldn't they just take the bag? It was done that way in Detroit on the way to Portland. I waited for about 20" in the other line and finally checked my bag. THEN, there was the TSA screening. The line was long. I was getting very nervous about getting to the flight on time. I also had to use the bathroom but didn't dare. I did make it on time (barely), got my seat, and went to the back of the plane to use the bathroom. Of course, this caused a logjam while others were coming forward with their carry-ons to get their seats. This way of doing things seems very inefficient and waste of Delta's money and our time. When I flew Northwest, before the merger, it was much simpler. PS I love the Biscoff cookies they serve on Delta!

This was my husband's first trip on Southwest. He commented on how much more friendly and positive the Southwest flight attendants were, compared to the ones he encounters on frequent Delta flights.

I love Delta, but here is my question now. Why are the flight sooooo expensive up by nearly 150.00, My son is getting married and wanted the whole family to go which only consists of 3 sisters and 1 brother and there is no way I can now afford that. What is going on? Other than that I love flying Delta, theyare organized and take care of the customer.
