Flew Southwest from DTW to LAS via MDW. Booked two days before departure, paid $121 one-way including taxes! Flight from DTW to MDW was excellent, 2/3 full plane, had a whole row to myself. Sat in the back with 11 Southwest crew who were heading to MDW. Had an excellent conversation with one of Southwest's pilots who was heading to MDW for work. Very personable and friendly, learned a lot about the merger integration with AirTran. The flight I was booked on from MDW to LAS was over-sold, so I volunteered my ticket and was bumped. Received $ 400+ in Southwest credits for volunteering my seat. Left MDW 3 hours later then originally scheduled. Was not a problem as I was in no hurry and the credits will pay for another Southwest trip. Flight from MDW to LAS was packed, as usual for LAS flights. Seat was comfortable and service was excellent. In addition, no baggage or other ancillary fees with Southwest! As far as I'm concerned, Southwest is the only way to fly!

We fly Spirit to Vegas about twice a year. this is the first time we sat in BIG seats, Wow felt like a movie star and a litle guilty. Would sit here every time if I could afford it. Rear seats are cramped like sardines, forget getting up to go to the bathroom unless your on an aisle seat. And if the seat infront of you leans back forget doing anything. Spirit is for super skinny people only, maybe they should change the name?

Flight itself was fine, but by the time you were 1/2 hour into it, I realized my bottom was sore from the hard, hard seats. No leg room, seat did not recline. Made the flight VERY uncomfortable. Other than that, crew was nice and helpful. I will say though, people bring too much on board that I think should be checked in. Not enough room in the small overhead bins. Other than the hard seats and people squirming from pain, I like the service I receive from Delta. All airlines should look into upgrading the comfort of the seats.

We'll let me say, I have had bad experiences with Spirit in the past have not flown them by choice in 10 years or so. I didn't think that they could get much worse, but boy was I proven wrong. Last year we booked a vacation package with Vegas and they had contracted with Spirit for flights. The night before we left 8pm to be exact I was notified by email that our 6am flight for a weeks vacation for 4 was cancelled due to a strike that they failed to settle. For this HUGE inconvience we were give a 100.00 voucher to use on a flight within the a year. I won't get into how by following their rules that $100.00 voucher would have turned into a whomping #30.00 will out a nasty email sent to the CEO. We had a 6am flight on June 12th, 2011 the flight was 1 hour late. No big deal, but when we boarded the plane. Talk about a cramped uncomfortable, wow is my bottom asleep from the uncushioned seats. I am 5'3" inches and a normal sized person and couldn't cross my legs and even shifting from side to side presented a challenge. An Airbus with 3 seats on each side. My sister who has fibromyalgia was in agonizing pain because of the uncomfortable conditions of this 3.5hour flight. They also only sell beverages on the flight, but only take debit cards no cash or credit cards.....so if you didn't bring something with you Sorry about your luck Chuck. I WILL NEVER, NEVER , NEVER FLY SPIRIT AIRLINE BY CHOICE!!!! I will pay up if necessary. Our bodies were literally sore for 1-2 days after the flight and then 6 days later had to suffer again. PAY UP PEOPLE IT WAS AWEFUL!!

Thought it was an April Fool joke - Spirit Air...dropped at least 100 passengers like a hot potato. Smaller plane departed for this scheduled flight...NO communication, just sent to lower level with the other passengers to see what our demise would be. Luggage left..we stayed on. How can this happen in this world of technology? Our flight scheduled to leave at 8 pm- did not get a resolve until 1:30 AM. Check flight NK711. Makes future travel plans on any airline difficult

My wife and I were put in the row in front of an exit row, their extra leg room came at the expense of our row. Very uncomfortable and tight, and seats did not recline at all. Felt like a sardine for 4 hours, and this after being delayed for over an hour waiting on the plane to arrive. Delayed an hour coming back home also, though seats were a little more comfortable on that part of the trip.

A standard Delta Detroit to Las Vegas run. Cramped plane filled with too much and too big carry ons. Flight attendants went through the motions of service. Attendants were completely disinterested as we prepared to land in Vegas. No one checked to ensure the seats were upright. No announcement that electronic devices were to be put away. I guess I should be happy that I was able to watch TV uninterrupted right up to the point of pulling up to the gate in Vegas. Guess those FAA guidelines are just that, guidelines.

I booked a trip to Las Vegas and sat in row one--Big Front Seat--Only way to travel--Only four across and able to be comfortable--Otherwise you're packed in on Spirit, Everything costs extra and every seat is filled. Much prefer the extra money to fly in the front. Check-in is a breeze

Checking in was a breeze. However, my seat would not let back for the departing or arriving flight. It was quite uncomfortable. I don't like paying for bags whether or not I check them. I don't like the ala cart experience. $3 for a bottle of water---give me a break and $18 for a pillow. Come on Spirit--what a super turn off. They make up for the cheaper flight with the cheapest accommodations. Yuck!!!!!!!!!

If you book your seats together and the website lets you choose your seats, why would you be told, upon checking in at the gate that you and your travelling partner couldn't be seated together? So this doesn't sound like all complaining and no praise, takeoff, landing and turbulence all freak me out and I have to take Xanax to fly - and my flight *to* Vegas was probably the best flight I've ever had. Better seats, much better in-flight experience than I'm used to, I will fly Delta again. However, when we were flying back to Detroit, the idea that I wasn't going to be sitting next to my boyfriend had me almost having a panic attack. When we printed our tickets there was no seat assignment and the gentleman at the baggage check-in said they would give us that information at the gate about 15 minutes before we boarded. We didn't think anything more of it until boarding started and we still didn't have seats. When we went up to the desk, we were issued tickets 5 rows apart and nothing we said could make the lady there even try to do anything - she just kept saying "I can't help you, there's nothing I can do." We wound up bribing a woman to switch seats so we could sit together, a woman who was sitting next to a man she was NOT travelling with. There may be a valid reason for seating people that aren't together next to each other before people that are, but I doubt it. I'm going to chalk this up to a rude woman with poor customer service skills at the gate.

The flight was fine. I am still irritated that I thought I got a great deal on tickets until I got an email a few days before flying saying to check the NEW baggage policy. Spirit is now an airline that charges for CARRY ON bags. They keep advertizing that they are so cheap because the flyer can choose what they want to pay for. I dont know anyone who doesnt fly without a luggage. The airline industry has found yet another way to get a "one up" on the savvy flyer who packs a modest carry on bag. Thanks Spirit for adding an extra $50 onto my flight making your airline only pennies cheaper than others that offer some accomodations as opposed to none.

Unable to get Exit Row seats, my 6'5" - 260 lb. husband sat scrunched: Unable to move his arms, and his knees up to his eyes, he got pretty cramped up. Even I, at only 5'3" felt crowded; and whenever getting up to stretch and/or use the rest-room, one could "barely" get through the aisle-ways. It was awful and I hear they are planning to cram more seats into the same spaces? Unbelievable! With the prices the airlines charge to fly, at the very least, people deserve to be comfortable! PS Tiny, little older ladies were sitting in the exit rows; people who could not possibly get the doors open and/or help others to get out in case of an evacuation emergenecy. Doesn't seem right!

On the return trip, the check in desk wasn't even open when we arrived at the airport for a 10:30 pm flight - by the time someone showed up to check us in, there were some grumpy people standing in a very long line.
