Great flight, got the hole family up in business class, and there were only 2 other people in first class. out of 18 seats there were only 4 from my family and 2 others. Usually there is omelets in first class but sometimes there is only cereal and on this flight there was cereal.

the flight was 2.5 hours late in departure due to a part which had to be replaced twice. no beverages were offered during this time.
we were offered beverages once while in flight. no peanuts even. also, my seat would not recline
when I opened my checked luggage, several items were missing, which Delta has reimbursed me for.
the return flight to Detroit was also late leaving Cancun, by about 1.5 hours.
it was an unpleasant beginning to a long awaited vacation

I take this flight and airline to Cancun at least twice a year. One of the few direct flight options available to me out of Detroit. Only tolerable in the big front seats that are fifty dollars extra. I never pay for my carry on and no one on Spirit has ever stopped me from using the overhead. The cabin crews are generally grumpy on Spirit, with lots of "my way" attitude. I would not take Spirit if I had to make connections coming home, never enough time no matter where I connect through if it's Spirit.

Flight attendents were courteous...much better then the "other" airline. Got to leave mid-morning rather than early, early bird on a non-stop flight...unlike the "other" airline. Didn't charge for" 1st bag going international...like the "other" airline does. Good experience all the way around!

We flew home from Cancun Mx yesterday and it was not a pleasant experience. The flight was delayed 45 minutes due to the fact they had to screen every person boarding the plane....every piece of carry on luggage was opened and examined, every customer had to take off their shoes and get a "pat down". Once we arrived in Ft Lauderdale we had 30 minutes to make our connecting flight. This was nearly impossible since we had to go thru customs, get our bags, stand in line to recheck bags, go thru security and make it to the gate. Imagine a full plane approx. 200 people trying to get thru this process and make the connecting flight. I asked employees at the Cancun and ft lauderdale airports if this was unusual and they both indicated this happens everyday with these flights!! After running thru the airport we did actually make our connecting flight however the two families we traveled with did not make the flight. Needless to say this was a very stressful day and one that could be avoided if spirit airlines would correct the process.

flight was ok. but to save bag fees we tried to pack too much in one checked bag and had to redistribute to our personal item

The take offs and landings were tremendous, honestly great, but when you get charged for everything on board it takes away from the flight. Water, sodas, - I'm surprised the gave me a napkin with my drink. Now they're charging for carry ons?? Are they crazy? Keep the pilots and get back to service and amenities; they aren't that much cheaper than the big boys.

They only accept credit cards (or Debit) I don't like using cards for small purcheses. This is a defininte minus. Also flight crew very unfriendly, they all appeared to have a chip on their shoulders. I'll think twice before booking AA

Cheapest flight until you add the 'additional costs'. Baggage, seat selection, pop, booze, snacks, water. If the landing hadn't been wonderful I wouldn't have given them a paw. Will never fly them again.

the seats are comfortable, just all around much nicer airline then the Spirit Airlines we have flown on. Enjoyed the flight
