Our departing flight from DTW arrived in BWI 35 minutes ahead of schedule, and the return flight was on time. Even had the full body scan at DTW and did not feel "violated". It was a piece of cake.

Southwest airlines has a great record for on time flying. When they say you depart at 6:10 am, that plane is rolling down the runway at 6:10. Great service. Would definately fly again.

I arrived at Baltimore Airport with ticket in hand and after going through security arrived 40 minutes before takeoff, but passengers were there. I had looked at the flight screen as I made my way to the gate and it said that the plane was on time. A Southwest employee holding the door at the gate said that everyone had already boarded and go go ahead and board. Is it common for a plane to depart early without all its passengers? Would I have been left if I did not show up when I did? I am concerned for future flights with Southwest and will be sure to arrive at the gate LONG before takeoff. Other than this the flight was uneventful, except we arrived at our destination on time, not early.

Both Detroit and Baltimore airports should consider free wireless. Online checkin is great. Our flight to Baltimore was a full plane but fortunately our seatmate did not show so we had extra room. Flight back to Detroit was uneventful.

The seating process isn't easily understood from the website that you should be advised to do advance checkin for the best zone seating because seating is first come first served.

The flight was great. The staff on the phone, at the airport and the crew on the plane had fun when doing their jobs and making announcements. They were all very pleasant. This was the first time we ever flew with Southwest as this airlines never advertises on any of the discounted flight comparison sites--have to go directly to Southwest. Seats are not preassigned--do need to pay extra for early bird check-in or get boarding passes as soon as possible. No baggage charge was a great feature. Will check for future flights with Southwest.

The check-in procedure was an abomination. I wear a back brace which set off the monitor. I was forced to disrobe to prove that I was not a security risk.

Southwest is a great all around airline. Great prices, friendly and courteous employees. It is nice you can check your bag and not have to fight othegnesdrs to load in the overhead compartment. You just check your bag at the curb and with the electronic seat check in - you just head to the gate. Makes flying simpler
