it has been many years since I enjoyed a trip on an airline as this trip on American Airlines. The esprit d'corps among the staff to provide quality service, especially during weather related delays, was refreshing and appreciated.
This is what flying used to be about when the experience was grand and pleasurable. I will choose to fly American whenever I can.

about the time we were supposed to be boarding, we were notified that there would be a delay. then that flight time was also delayed. after boarding, we were told there was another delay. whether this was the airline's fault or not, it was very disappointing and made for an extremely long day. i would rather have a delay due to mechanical problems or weather problems, but hoping to get home at a certain time, then having it be 2 hours later was not good.
on the other hand - frontier has the most legroom that i have had on a flight in a long time and the seats were comfortable - not lumpy like some other airlines. and the seats were actually roomy themselves. if i was rating on timeliness of the flight i would have given it a 1, but the rest of this airline's amenities made my rating a 4

We took Frontier from St. Louis to Denver and then Denver to Spokane the week earlier and flights couldn't have been better. Then we did the return trip and the first leg was great as well. On the trip from Denver to St. Louis the crew was one of the worse i've seen - just rude and didn't care. At one point the stewardess was taking her left over spagheti dinner to the front to warm it up and then walked down the aisle eating it. Really??? I'm a GM of a hotel so I get complaints all the time - kudos to the first three flights - the last one - change jobs if you don't like what you do...
