The outgoing flights were great, some of the smoothest landings we've encountered. A one hour layover in Salt Lake was required, however to get off the plane and run to the opposite side of the airport for the connecting flight. Crazy how they set these things up. The operation in San Fran was a bit of a mess, a woman at the gate was randomly yelling at customers as it was difficult to hear whether the announcements were for our flight or the gate beside us for Minneapolis. She was randomly measuring bags and then checking them. Our family of 4 was pulled over and instead of letting us redistribute contents, she grabbed them and insisted they be checked. Others with bigger bags were boarding. The coup de gras, however, was when her co-worker was yelling at us to move over to let people pass by and the baggage handler was trying to take our bags BEFORE they had been tagged. Really Delta? San Francisco airport is one of the smaller airports we've been through, and Delta was thoroughly overwhelmed. Pack light :)

Wish I would have booked my flight Denver to Oakland instead of SFO. The return trip was delayed several hours due to fog with the rain whereas Oakland rarely has the fog and I noticed no flights were delayed out of there. Just something to remember next time.

The flight portion from SFO to Denver was endless. I thought I would never leave the San Francisco airport. I had checked the flight departure time prior to getting on my shuttle ride to the airport, but it showed on time. What a farce. They knew it was delayed but had not updated their online information. So I waited five hours to board and then another hour passed before we actually took to the air. Had they informed me of the delay online I could have spent more time with my mother whom I had been visiting. My son was very patient and fortunately we are military so we have the use of the USO lounge which helped us greatly. We appreciated the food and the quiet place to wait. Thank you to anyone who supports the USO monetarily. We didn't wait there too long though, because the person at check-in said we would depart by 4:00 pm but once we arrived at the gate we weren't departing until 5pm but never actually took to the air until 6pm. Their excuses were pathetic lies as they stated it was a problem with air traffic control (funny how it was only our airline that was affected) and then they said it was due to the fog. Having lived in Alaska for four years and flown in and out of all kinds of weather, I knew that the high clouds that they referred to as fog were not of concern to any true pilot that knew how to fly. So, I don't recommend this airline, although I did appreciate the chocolate chip cookie they offered to us in flight.

This was our first trip on Midwest. They recently merged with Frontier, which is our airline of choice. We found the staff very competitent, in fact there was one flight attendent named Ronda who was a lot of fun and keep the flight entertaining. The aircraft we flew in was very compact but we were able to check our carry on bags at the gate which was nice. The seats are large and there was nice legroom. They served their chocolate chip cookies but they were not warm as we were told they were in the past and they were average taste. But overall the flight and the staff was very good.

Departure was slightly late, but made up for it and arrived on-time. The crew was quick in seeing to everyone's safety features and we were in the air in a timely fashion. All went smoothly. Great airline for flying. Nothing for entertainment (e.g. movies, music). Bring your own FUN!

All the luggage bins were full around my seat so they wanted me to go to the rear of the plane to find a spot. My seat was in the front to middle of the plane. (Huge plane with 2-3-2 seats in rows) That would have been fun for getting off the plane, right? FINALLY found a nice flight attendant to help me. The rest were very rude and uninterested.

I flew to SF to pick up my grandchildren and bring them back with me for a week's vacation. Left DEN, flew to SFO. Parents had them at the departure gate and we returned to DEN. The twins are 8 yrs old. Each rolled own suitcase and we put them in overhead bin. Flight attendants were friendly and helpful. One wk later, I flew back w/twins from DEN & returned on same day by myself. Checking in and getting pre boarding passes was super easy with Southwest. I like the way passengers line up according to boarding group & #.

All check-in and flight staff were friendly and helpful. Flight was on time with no problems- I was able to take my viola as carry-on luggage, which was essential to me.
