The flight attendants were friendly and polite. The customer service in hawaii when i left hawaii was the best. Only one flight was delayed and I still made my additional flights.

The flights went without incident. The return flight was a plus=nonstop. The service was fair-good.

I don't mean the following in a mean way,it's just what I've experienced; As always with most United long hall flights(6+hour CONUS>overseas Flights), SOME of the steward/ess,because of age, have a hard time maintaining/enduring as happened on on our return 7+ hour flt. This often effects quality and/or congenial service. United should take into consideration both UAL owner-employees, and passengers,on such Flights. I.e. Give the long halls to the 45 and under, or at least make it a steward/ess 50-50 age group in all cabins. Just my opinion. Note:I'm 68 years young.

The flight going to Honolulu was better than coming back ... maybe because it was during daylight hours. There was absolutely NO food served whatsoever ... not even a bag of peanuts. It was a 5 1/2 hour flight between Phoenix and Honolulu. Seats were extremely uncomfortable. No perks, no comfort, no nuthin'.

I admit to being spoiled, normally traveling on Southwest. Yes, I said spoiled on Southwest! This is the first time I have flown on a "regular" airline in years. This time we got to pay for our checked bags. I hate that. Just put that into the price of the ticket and stop playing games! In addition, there was barely any in flight "service". They passed out beverages twice on the leg between Honolulu and LAX. You could BUY food, including some potato chips, a cookie, and mixed nuts, as well as some other items, but not one bite of food was free. Not a peanut, a pretzel or anything. In a flight from Hawaii to the mainland, it seems unreasonable to expect people to go without food. The carry on baggage is so limited already, that packing a lunch isn't really feasible. If you are dumb enough to pick a window seat, your under seat storage is one half what the people in the center and aisle seat have. On one airplane, part of the middle seat's storage area is taken up by a metal box. The aisles are so narrow a roll aboard barely will roll. They keep making the seats smaller, the storage smaller, the services less and charging us more. We need to demand better service for our money. I will be sticking with Southwest for any mainland flights I take. Unfortunately they are not an option to get to Hawaii.

Booked through Continental, flew out of Denver on United. No idea what concourse, had 30 minutes to get to the continental Concourse to get a boarding pass. They need to have more communication between the 2 airlines.
