Love the way Southwest boards in comparison to the other airlines. Even their jokes seem to stay fresh. They are at risk of degrading service with the merger, I am afraid.

Trip out to Denver on 9/9 was fine. Trip back to DTW was over an hour late taking off, absolutely packed and as usual, there are people with 2 and more carryons, filled beyond the bag's capability. We wait and wait while several people try to stuff their bags into the overheads. Then, I always get the person in front of me who puts their seats all the way reclining so I have a head in my lap. But the worst was when we were landing and almost on the ground and suddenly, the plane roars faster and ascends! Scared us all. The pilot came on and explained that another plane had ventured onto the runway we were to land on! What????? So, we had to circle the airport again until we could land. Thank goodness we had a good pilot. Air travel is terrible these days. I wish they would not allow carryons. Also, people are so ill mannered!
