I asked for a bulk-head seat and got one. Being prepared for a relaxing trip I was surprised to find that a young woman with a very-badly behaved 1-year old child were both sitting in the seat next to me. The child climbed on me, ran up and down the isle, and screamed throughout the flight. The stewardess ignored all of surrounding passengers’ frowns and encouraged the mother and child with smiles of "how cute" (while ignoring our experience of being miserable). I have always flown American but will consider other airlines going forward.
