Spirit Airlines charges for EVERYTHING! Preselecting a seat is from $10 to $40 each person, each flight! If you have a carry on that goes in the overhead bin it is $40. per leg. Checked bags are also per flight rather than to destination. $3.00 for water during the flight. By the time all the "extra fees" are paid even the $9.00 flight is no bargain! Be careful and read the fine print!

pretty standard fare, nothing extraordinary. Feel airlines should be more consistent in verifying bag size for carry-ons, mine was within the size limits but I saw others with much larger bags and the overhead bins were full with only about 1/2 the plane boarded.

Just wanted to thank you folks for the fare I found on your site on Feb.24.DFW/ORD - 69.40 R/T taxes and all. That was nuts, United booked through Travelocity. Both flights went perfect, 20 minutes early at ORD, 15 minutes early back to DFW.The travel people catch a lot of hell most of the time, and I just wanted to say thanks for everything when things do go right.

Airline customer service is most important. The crew was very helpful, considerate and polite. Because my husband has a C-Pap machine that had to go through security, we were late getting to our gate. The staff was patient and understanding and accommodated us nicely. Once on the plane, the attendants helped us with carry-on luggage by offering to put one of our bags up front. As with all economy seats, one would wish for a little more leg room, but we were good. The flight left as scheduled and God was with us for a non-eventful, excellent trip. Loved the experience.

Check-in was a breeze. Going through security was smooth enough. The flight was on time. I had no luggage to check in, just one carry-on, which fit easily into the overhead storage. We arrived at our destination on time. The worst part about it was the traffic at ORD! Passenger pick-up for all terminals funnels through the same thoroughfare. My ride was stuck in traffic in the terminal, and I had to wait for several minutes. I didn't "time" it so I don't know how long I had to wait, but a while. The return flight was delayed departing ORD due to a late-arriving international flight - unavoidable. If I had been on that international flight, I would have appreciated very much them holding my connecting flight! Despite being 40 minutes late taking off, we made good time getting to DFW!

I had to extend my stay because my sister went into the hospital. American would not change my flight for compassion reasons but instead charged me $152 to change my flight. I talked to a supervisor and she said they "never" make compassionate changes. I am an Elite Advantage member and it made no difference. I plan to use up my miles and then find an airline with more compassion.

When I booked this flight back in March 2009 the aircraft of record was an MD80 so I used my gold status to put us in the exit row. Little did I know that AA was going to change the aircraft and not even tell me; our row 20AB exit row became a row 20 on a 757 which put us somewhere in the back of the aircraft squeezed into a middle and window. On this flight my loyalty and status with AA went out the window. Shouldn't AA have moved us when they knew they were changing aircraft; had I known we would have chosen to upgrade. The flight was only two hours so it wasn't too bad but we would have rather had the choice to upgrade.
