Same crowded plane on the flite exactly one week later but flite attendants made all the difference. They smiled and were friendly. Came thru a couple of times and even asked if we wanted something else.

Bad start because they allowed onboard several oversize suitcases. Poorly handled when they had to gate check several bags. Slowed us down. Once in the air there was one pass of the beverage cart for a tiny glass of soda. No peanuts or anything like that. sold out of sandwiches. Never saw flite attendents again until end of flite.

I have been flying on American airlines since 1993. I have always had good experiences with the airline and the flight attendents. This one particular flight, however, did not go as well as all my other flights. I realize people can be frustrating but the flight attendents were pretty rude on this flight. I'm not sure if they were just having a bad day but one even got on the loud speaker to fuss at a person on the plane about where they had put their trash! Kind of uncomfortable situation!

wish the seats were a little bigger. The price was great (except that it went down after we booked) Wish I had waited. The attendants were very friendly. No problems that anyone can fix. Thanks for keeping us updated on flight info.

I fly American Airlines a lot, only because my husband insists we fly American. The staff are entirely to stiff, unpleasant and rude. They push the cart down the aisle as though they absolutely hate the job. I needed to purchase a lunch. It was never offered. I had to ask for it. Then, it was an inconvenience for the stewardess to give it to me so she huffed. I attempted to pay with cash because I didn't know you had to use a credit card, so she huffed about that. I paid with the credit card and she huffed on down the aisle. For years they have always had bad attitude!

I was very skeptical on what to expect from Air Tran as American and Southwest was all I had flown up to this point, but was pleasantly surprised. They provided great customer service and the seats were conforatable. The only problem occurred in Baltimore where we watched out the window as our luggage was loaded on to the plane and watched as the guy loading body slammed each piece of luggage on to the converyor belt. When we arrived in Boston, the brand new 3 piece luggage set that I bought for this trip had two very damaged pieces. The two larger pieces were checked and my daughter carried on the smaller one. It was the only that went unharmed. I think this was more a problem with the Baltimore airport than with the carrier itself.

I've traveled American several times past couple of months. Really good at turning passengers into sardines with crammed small planes (md80 family). Nobody seems happy; flt attendants do their best. I'm short, still my knees hit seat in front, plus that seat was lowered head cushion was in my face.

the origin plane was pretty tight, knees locked into front passenger seat. Even on the biger airline the seating space sucks if your tall (6'1") or more. Really dont get snacks anymore instead just a drink and nothings really healthy. Just a little FYI from most recent trip experience

really should have flight persons DEMAND that each carry on be placed over the seat that it's owner occupies...really frustrating to get on & find all bins over my seat filled with the luggage of others farther down plane. flight attendants ignored the request of passengers to keep luggage in proper bins. really appalling. next time I think I will just replace improperly placed bags with mine...let the attendants find a place for them!

American has become really good at filling all the seats on their planes, especially old MD-80's and that makes for a less than great experience. There is insufficient in-cabin baggage stowage so people who get on last have to gate check their luggage often, the seats feel like that last guy who sat in them weighed in at 400lbs (this flight especially), and I often wonder how clean the cabin and the seats really are. This particular flight was on time. It was crammed full at 6:25AM. The airline staff did an acceptable job with their coffee and water service. Unfortunately, I felt like I was sitting on metal rather than a cushioned seat, there was no headrest adjustment, so cat napping was a case of holding my head very still while dozing.
