I flew to MKE on one of United's weekend deals: $92 RT plus taxes. Of course, I was on the crack-of-dawn flights. Gate agent at CMH could have been friendlier but got everyone on board for an on-time departure....except we had a 20 min wait for de-icing (it was just days after the last of the big 3 Ohio Valley February snowstorms, and boy was it cold!). I was on the new explus jet CMH-ORD, and those are very nice. The extra room is kinda wasted on a 1-hr flight--on the 3 hr flight to Denver, it's worth finding an explus option. Quick layover in ORD, then a hop to MKE. It would have been a 20 minute flight except they sent us 20 miles out over Lake Michigan on the approach.

Return flight was completely uneventful. A non-stop would have been nice (via Midwest/Frontier or eventually Airtran) but this United route isn't too bad early in the morning, before ORD has a chance to back up. And those United weekend deals can't be beaten!
