I just returned from Paris and was stuck in an inside seat on a 777. After wedging myself into my seat and shoving my carry-on (avg. size back-pack with my laptop) under the seat in front of me, the only word I could mumble to my neighbor was "inhumane". The thought of spending the next 9 or so hours like this almost made me cry. The movie selection was not great, and reading what the Economy Plus and Business Class passengers got over our offering just felt like salt in the wound. Luckily, we had the best flight crew I've ever had. In addition to the usual in-flight service, they put out serve-yourself refreshments in the back galley and welcomed everyone who needed to stand a while and stretch. It felt like a casual get together with old and new friends. Really made a long flight go by quickly.
