flight from chicago was late taking off so we missed connection and had to stay in st Luis over night , hotel and food an added expence to our trip. Then the return flight was cancelled so we had to go stand by or wait in Miami airport for 8 hours, we were able to get another flight on standby but we were seated apart from our children.
All in all we were very upset with our trip.

Plane switch to larger equipment, crew arrived late from earlier flight, log book issue had to be resolved, cargo door wouldn't close properly, maintenance resolves door issue, then de-icing for 1/2 hour led to the late departure and a missed connection in Miami, resulting in 5 1/2 hour layover in Miami and I missed the whole second half of the Super Bowl!

Servuce was absolutely horrible. Flight attendant call button did not work. Rude stewardesses. I'm disabled (hemiplegic) and they would not assist me in any way. I will lose my Platinum status this year and I don't care. I was treated like trash. I will find another carrier and gain my status on them. Bye Bye AA. Hope you go out of business soon.You lost a passenger who flies 50,000+ miles a year in FIRST class.

There were 5 of us returning from a family vacation. I asked the flight attendant for milk for my 2 yrs old granddaughter. She immediately said she had none. Quite surprised, I asked her to pls ck in first class (she never offered to do so!) to see if they had any. With quite an attitude, she claimed they used all their milk for coffee. It was the attitude that bothered me Also, quite frankly, I feel during meal time (this flight was from 5:30-9:30 PM,having a roster and seeing there were several children aboard, AA catering should have provided some milk - even if it was for purchase!

I had a smooth flight from Chicago to Miami last month. I would say flying American is very comfortable and familiar. I have flown them for years. However, some slight criticism would on this flight the plane seemed to have an older look referencing the 80's/90's decor. I do think American should update their planes and also offer snacks, especially with airlines like JetBlue around.
