I recently traveled to Las Vegas with my husband for a mini-vacation that ended up NOT being a vacation at all. My husband's bags arrived late and mine NEVER arrived. I am home from vacation and American Airline agents still have no clue where my bag is. They can't even tell me if it's in the United States! I will more than likely never see my belonging again. To top it all off, I spent 90% of my "vacation" on the phone with AA agents and shopping in stores to replace my items. I couldn't even go to the pool because my swimsuit was lost!

I paid $25 for my bags to fly on American Airlines...and I never saw them again. Do not trust American Airlines. From now on, I will fly Southwest or Delta.

Check-in, security and the flight were efficient and on-time. All the staff were helpful and professional. I appreciated the level of service that American Airline staff provided.

I was expecting a bargain but I didn't know it would mean sacrificing the extreme basics - You wanna choose a seat next to your beloved??? $35 per person. I am 5'5" and there were literally 3 inches between my knees and the seat in front of me. But I could have paid $75 each way to have a wee bit more room. Oh and when on earth did standard baggage limits go from 50lbs to 40lbs??? At Spirit - that IS the standard. I think the travel deals offered by Spirit are best used when traveling alone on short trips. Anything else - you will be nickeled and dimed after your initial fare costs.

Good deal - on time flight and fairly good service to Vegas. The rows were a bit cramped and we took a red-eye home - so a bit uncomfortable - but for the price - I think it was well worth it!

The money you save is not worth it! The baggage policy is riduculous. They actually measure and weigh each bag and bully you into paying more. The planes are small and travel rough. Then they charge for drinks on the plane. The seats are extremely close together and I could barely fit(I'm 5'2 95lbs.) and they jam pack it with passengers. The flight attendants were rude and not helpful at all. The plane was filthy. I will never use this airline again, even if they offered it free.

If you are 5-10 or better you should not fly economy on spirit airlines. There should be a height restriction on these seats.Passenger seated next to me was 6 foot tall i am 6-3. Passengers in front of us could not recline seat. For there was nowhere for our legs to go.Seat are so close you can't even stick them under the seat in front of you.Legs do not bend that way.

If you are looking for a cheap fare, Spirit has them.. Just be prepared to pay for ANYTHING extra other than the seat you are in. It's no frills all the way , and if you understand that going in, you will be fine. If you expect free coffee, blankets, movies, choose another airline. If you want cheap, comfortable, on-time service - they are the airline to fly!

Storm was coming to Chicago so we went to the airport and wait listed for the eariler flight which we did make! Later flight we were booked on was delayed 2.5 hours. When we got to PHX we wait listed for the earlier flight and only I could go as the bags were not guaranteed to make the earlier flight and they were attached to my wife's ticket. I did take the earlier flight as she was upgraded on the later one. I got the rental car and went back to the airport to wait by baggage, while there I notices our bags sitting there so they did fly with me. I took them to the car and then waited up by security where she would pass. Held up a magazine like a sign and caught her. We went back to the car and took off to the hotel. We won already!

    Airline Greed Trumps Customer Comfort

I recently had knee surgery, so when I booked my flight in advance, I made sure to reserve a seat in the emergency exit row (and on the aisle) so there would be enough legroom. I'm tall (5'10") with long legs, so having enough legroom is always an issue, even without the surgery factoring in.

When I got to the airport, I found that the airline had changed my seat to a window seat in a back row, and the rows were so close together, my legs were literally jackknifed with no room to stretch. I asked the attendant about my original reservation and was told that unless I upgraded to "economy extra" class for an additional $99 fee, I'd have to keep this seat. Apparently the airline feels it's not making enough money from passengers, and has rearranged the rows so that the middle and rear cabin rows are so cramped together, customers will have to upgrade and pay extra just to get what is barely the minimum of comfort anyway, because the 'economy extra' seats only offered an inch or two more of space - still uncomfortable for any passenger who is as tall as me or taller.

Although I mentioned my recent surgery and how important it was to have some room so my leg wasn't folded in half for the 3 and a half hour flight, the only answer I got was to PAY MORE MONEY. And even after doing this, I didn't notice enough difference to make the flight any more comfortable.

We were all squashed together like sardines, and when the person sitting in the row in front moved his seat back to a reclining position for most of t he flight, I had his seat pressing hard against my legs throughout the trip. It was agony...and INFURIATING that an airline would be so greedy for additional ways to milk their customers of money that they are willing to completely ignore passenger comfort. I will NEVER fly United again.

Who cares about a free movie if you can't move! When the seat in front reclined, it went into your lap in back. The flight attendants were uninterested and indifferent, they acted like you were bothering them if you needed something. NOT recommended

Ontime scheduled departure, onboard Hospitality by attendants on duty were "Bar Non" ensuring that I was comfortable, and well hidrayted to endure the flight. Refreshments, were plenty, and the joy of permissable seconds were a pleasing treat to say the least. "UA is the way to Fly"
