After receiving an EXCELLENT Fare from Airfare Watchdog, we had a blizzard to deal with in Chicago. Delta took Very Good Care of us by getting us on a flight the following morning. We were on an all Girls Trip heading to Hawaii. Thank You to Delta for taking Excellent care of us.

Trip was almost perfect. My only complaint was that on the first portion of my return trip from Honolulu to Phoenix it was freezing cold on the plane and there was a fee to get a blanket.

Normally, I don't mind the non-stop flight to HNL, but the 767 we flew on just made things really uncomfortable. Coach is set in a 2-3-2 configuration and I sat in A, which is where I usually sit. For some rason, the 767's offer less leg room than their smaller counterparts. I spent a good portion of the flight with my knees dug into the seat in front of me (but I won't get into how the lady in that seat refused to comply with me asking her to NOT put her seat back...). My main point is, if you're on the taller side (I'm 5'7"), see if you can get on a smaller plane, otherwise the trip is going to be really uncomfortable for you!

If you are a tall person expect to be cramped on this long flight. I am average size 5'5'' and had very little room to move. Also, there are no snacks unless you pay for them, so I suggest bringing your own which luckily we did. Finally, there was only one large t.v. screen and two small ones that were too far away to see. I could not even see the larger one because I was too far back and I was only about 1/4 of the way back. So if you are not near the t.v. I suggest bringing a book.

The outbound trip to HNL was average for economy class. Not bad, but not outstanding. However, while I was in Hawaii, I badly fractured my ankle. So, on my return trip, I had my right leg in a cast & was on crutches. United was very helpful; they reassigned seating for both myself & my husband (putting us in bulkhead seats in economy plus right by the door) and allowed us to board & disembark first. The flight attendants were also very attentive during the flight & frequently checked on me to see if I needed anything or any help (like going to the toilet, etc). They made what could have been a horrible trip into a plesant as possible experience.
