    Staff was friendly, we were able to check in using our mobile devices, our seat assignments were awesome we got assigned an exit row.. More room!

    This was a quick weekend trip on American airlines. I checked in online the night before the trip and the day of the return flight w/o a problem. Flights were crowded but thats to be expected on Fri and Sun afternoon flights. Cabin attendants were friendly and professional. The only problem was the return flight was delayed by half an hour due to waiting on people connecting flights. So the flight arrived a few minutes late (around 10-15 min).

    I do like the fact that American uses MD-80's with a 2-3 seat configuration. It meant that my friend and I got the window and aisle w/o anyone sitting between us.

    The airplane wasn't on time at the gate, and there was no explanation other than 'the plane is coming from the hangar'. When it got to the gate, we had to wait while they had to fix a seat in first class that was discovered that wouldn't stay upright. Then, when that was fixed, all of a sudden they were still loading luggage when the flight was over 30 minutes past it's departure time. The landing was very rough, very weird - we were very glad to get off the aircraft.

    It was so cold on tne airplane. When I asked for a blanket, I was told they only sell them. Who wants to pay $8.00 for a paper thin blanket? The flight attendants were rude. Our flight had been delayed several hours, the gate changed about 6 times, and we were not even offered any kind of snack on the plane. I will not be flying American in the future!

    An average overbooked flight with crowded seating and minimal in-flight service. Long lines at check-in however it was simple on both ends.

    It had been quite some time since I last flew United, I am typical a Southwest girl, but this was a last minute trip and Southwest was cost prohibitive. I had award miles for United and it was available! (unexpected surprise)

    I was carrying on so I was not affected by the baggage fee. The meals available for purchase actually sounded good, I am over that we have to pay, and I sprung for the one that sounded best to me and I was happy I did. It was wonderful and had delicious items....marinated olives, delicious hummus/pita, soft cheese/crackers very fresh and tasty. The flight was full and I did appreciate having a reserved seat, check in and boarding was smooth and we left on time. It was nice to have the option to watch some entertainment during the flight. The seating was comfortable enough and service was excellent.

    United gave a very minimal snack box in First Class and coffee in a paper cup.....definitely not worthy of being called an upgrade.
