    The outbound leg of the trip was less comfortable than the return. En route to Austin my travel companions and I didn't get our upgrades at the gate, but we did get seats that didn't recline! All of us! We each got the last row or the row in front of the Emergencey Exit.

    On the way back I got the last row but the flight attendant was kind enough to allow me to move forward to the Emergency row seats as I'd just run the Austin Livestrong half marathon and I needed a little leg room.

    We were held up on the tarmac after landing back in Chicago and we never did pull up to the gate. Instead we deplaned in the rain down stairs, into puddles and paraded trek the longest walk on a tarmac I've ever made to get indoors. So this is flying?

    Check in went well and easy on both trips. The flight was OK. On the return we were sent to the wrong baggage claim area and waited 20 min. until someone inquired about the bags.

    With all the cut backs in air transportation, the airlines should either cut back on the air conditioning or not be so cheap with the blankets. I had a sweater on and was still freezing! I requested a blanket and was told "all the first class passengers were using them"! So, I guess too bad you all of you in the cattle car!
