I flew Southwest for the very first time and what a pleasure it was to fly again! I travel regularly for business and pleasure and have found United, especially, to have lost any and all feeling for a desire to please and maintain their customers. Every Southwest employee displayed customer service to the max! I was truly taken aback as it was something I thought no longer existed. The free baggage allowance takes all the hassle away when flying these days...it's easy and simple. The fares are not necessarily cheaper than the other airlines but it's a much more relaxed atmosphere with Southwest. They still care. It's not only about charging another fee for this and that as is the case with the others. Also they had much more of a selection of flights than the other carriers. I can't say enough about Southwest! If first impressions are what count then this airline will have my business whenever they fly my way. Great, great experience from the ground personnel to the skies. They notified me of flight times, gates, etc. and when I did need to call, I wasn't connected to some call center in India where the employees only know how to read a script. This experience was air travel from days of old, when a company still cared and took pride in customer service. Fabulous! Thank you, Southwest, for all you did to make my travel superb.
