It was difficult to find the check-in area for Branson Air Express; it turned out to be marked by an 8" X 11" sign at the Delta counter. But whatever, I thought, it's a small airline. No problems checking in, and I didn't get charged for checking my daughter's carseat. YAY! Then we went through security and to the gate indicated on our tickets. There was no indication that this gate had a flight leaving from it, and I was a little nervous that I was in the wrong place. The flight was delayed an hour, we had to change gates, but once we got on the actual plane, everything was fine and normal and non-stressful. Arriving at Branson, we exited the plane and walked down a ramp (outside), then discovered the airport looks exactly like a Bass Pro Shop. Kind of funny!

After this experience, I will think twice before I fly Branson Air Express again. The rate was good, but the airport service was very poor. There was only a small printed piece of paper as a sign telling you where to check in (it was actually at a Delta counter). The boarding pass was printed from a small desktop computer, which looked more like a receipt and the customer service rep had to write in my gate number by hand. Even the TSA officer questioned if it was a legit ticket when I went through security. I checked on the monitors in the airport, and my flight was never listed on the screens. And there was no information at the gate that even indicated there was a departure going out at my time, or the destination. The only way I knew I was in the right place was by asking people around me. The lady at the counter said that Delta was "just handling the flight for them" but it would have been nice to at least know I was in the right place. Keep your customers informed!
