On our return trip, our flight had a planned stop and change of planes in Halifax. We found ourselves near to Halifax on the day before we were booked to fly, so we called Air Canada to tell them that we were going to forgo the flight from Saint John to Halifax and just start our return trip from Halifax instead. As Air Canada informed us that they would charge us $395 per person to simply forgo the first leg of our flight, the total cost of which was already paid at $667 per person, we were forced to drive 5+ hours back to Saint John just to get on a plane and fly back to where we started.
