“Delta did me wrong again”

My Delta flight was scheduled to take off at 5:11pm from Buf to JFK. As the departure time got closer, no announcements were made, which is unsettling. At 5pm (or a little past the hour) a disorganized agent mumbled something about "... the plane is not here yet" and didn't include how long the wait time would be, or even an approximate wait time. Our plane shows up, people get off, we get on. Because of all of the delays, there is a limited beverage service. We could have pretzels, cookies, peanuts or water. Only water. No soda, no juice, no options. Just water.
Flight was due to land at JFK at 7:00pm. We arrived closer to 7:45pm. Then we sat on the runway for close to an hour. (Our flight time in the air was only 58 minutes). The guy next to me had an 8:30pm connecting flight that he missed. I was off the plane just before 9pm, and was glad I didn't have anyone waiting for me at the airport.
The other thing I really dislike is the Delta terminal at JFK. It is old, worn, poorly laid out, and it's a LONG WALK from the entrance to the building. It's also hard to figure out how to get into the building if you take the AirTrain. It may be handicapped accessible, but it is not handicapped easy. I do not have a handicap, or a kid in a stroller, but I did have a bag on wheels that was tough to get around outside the terminal.
Next time.... I will fly Jet Blue to/from Buffalo/JFK. They have better on time performance, announcements and a nicer terminal.
