It was great to only have an hour layover and an on time flight during a convient time of day.

On the BOS-SLC route, Delta recently downgraded from 757s with in-seat TVs to 737s with overhead TVs. Delta still flies this route twice daily, but they reduced the size of their planes. (Maybe less pax flying this route? Or less cost in gas to fly smaller plane?)
I am slightly bitter because I used to have no trouble getting an upgrade to First on this route when DL flew the 757. But now with the smaller 737, there are less first class seats, and therefore less of a chance I will be upgraded.
Delta is still you best bet for nonstop service between BOS-SLC. The flight attendants and gate agents are always friendly and accommodating, but be prepared to be cramped and without personal TVs for this 5+ hour flight.
