I took a trip to Ireland May 2010 with my 1 and a half year old daughter. I was offered the bassinet aisle for the trip over and thought they must be crazy to think she'd fit in one! Her feet hung over the end, but for a nighttime flight, it was a dream. It meant I didn't have to hold her and fear waking her up over the course of the 6 hour flight. On our return flight, we were not able to get that aisle, but they were able to re-assign the person who had the 4th seat in our row, so we got the extra seat to use. The flight attendants were great also. I didn't know you had to request a child's meal ahead of time, but they had an extra out back that they happily gave to us. I could not have been more pleased with either the flight there or the flight back. :)

Perhaps it was the airport construction?

    Flight from Boston to Dublin

    Airline:

    Number of Stops:
    1 stop in Paris, France
    Date of Flight:
    December 2009

Cramped bus rides from terminal to terminal in paris, flight attendants were inattentive, films that suddenly terminated 10 minutes before the movie was to end, an out of order lav leaving long lines, food was inedible-tasted as though had been frozen and thawed and refrozen several times (and I'm NOT fussy eater), with the security lines that were endless after the failed bomb in USA. Flight was a disaster to an otherwise wonderful irish vacation. I would not fly this airline again. After an Aerlingus flight that was fabulous from start to finish in the past I was very dismayed by the Air France flight.

    Thanks,

The flight was on-time, comfortable, efficient; the cabin crew was wonderful. But between Dublin and Boston government security, immigration, etc., etc., we spent five hours waiting in various lines for a six-hour transatlantic flight. When I first crossed the pond you were processed on and off a 5000-passenger ocean liner in a half hour or so; now it takes five hours for a 300-passenger plane.

Wish we could keep the airlines and scrap the government.
