“Felt like I had been herded and then cooked”

I had one bag to check and already had boarding passes, but this process took a good 20 minutes. Flight left late (seems like every time I've flown out of Boston, flight has not been on time). The gate changed at last minute and they tried to load us so fast we felt like cattle in chaos. The plane was 90 degrees when we got on, and might have cooled all the way to 85 degrees in flight. All in all, miserable. AirTran seats are smaller than Delta as well. The crew and pilot were fine, though. Pilot did a good job of making up lost time.

The first leg of my trip was good. On the return flight I was running late and arrived at the gate just in time with less than five minutes to spare! Although the flight was full, the attendant was polite and advised me not to worry. The only downside was that I had to check my bag (for free)since the overhead compartments were full and then wait at baggage claim in Boston. They listed the wrong pick-up area and luckily I noticed my bag from a distance and was quickly on my way home!

Why Delta is now the worst major airline:
Delta now leads the way in charging fees for checking bags. Therefore, many more passengers are showing up with carry-ons. On my most recent Delta flight, a long boarding line was told there was no more overhead compartment space and all remaining carry-on bags would have to be checked. There were still many people in the line and it took a while to get this done. The flight was late, passengers irritated and Delta checked a bunch of baggage for free. Brilliant.

On time.. The pilot on the return flight was engaging. The stewards were nice. Great experience overall. Easy in/out of Boston

on the way home they sat me in a middle seaat even though I was traveling with my husband the man to the left of me was just rude and the man to the right was so big he couldn't buckle his seatbelt I couldn't use headphones because I couldnt put my armrest down...I couldn't move my arms ...crazy! I did complain to Delta there answer was so sorry we credited your account 3000 miles big whoop....

I always book with american express so I can use the carriers lounge. A delay going out of 3 hours for mechanical reasons is much more comfortable in the club rather than waiting at the gate. The little food given out is not worth the effort. The cabin crews are rather surly now that they have little or nothing to do.

During the busiest times to fly....this airline always manages to get you to your destination on time!! The process of checking in to take-off is just wonderful. They are my #1 choice when I search for flights. The prices are better than most of the other airlines going to the same place. AirTran you are the best!!
