Right as we were about to leave for the airport, Allegiant called to cancel our flight. Options were to reschedule to the following day or get a full refund. There was no manager available to speak with and if we wanted to wait to make a decision we had to call back and wait on hold for at least 15 minutes. Incredible! There was not an option to put us on a different flight. Really there was no effort made to accommodate us at all. Can't figure out why they did not call us the night before to cancel. I even got an email the previous day to print my boarding passes. Really?

We use to always brag to everyone about the cheap flights and savings we received from flying with Allegiant Air Bellingham. We drive 3 hours and cross the Canadian border just to fly Allegiant! Even with all the additional and increasing costs, luggage, seats, parking $15 per day etc. But the past 4 or so trips, to Vegas and LA our luggage has been extremely damaged. Broken zippers, ripped in strange places, holes the size of a quarter and just awful condition. This is plain and simple lack of care and respect for the travelers belongings. We have noticed many unhappy and shocked travellers when they see the state of their luggage. We have travelled many places in the world and been to many different places in Europe and never seen the damage we get when travelling with Allegiant. Maybe Allegiant should put a halt on increasing everything and improve some of the problems they have instead. Needless to say our bragging days are over!

Last Sunday at 10 a.m. I went to the Bellingham Airport to purchase two sets of tickets to Las Vegas for May and June 2012. What a customer service nightmare! First of all - there were three customer service lines - none of them adequately marked to identify what role(s) they played - altho one line did have a SMALL sign identifying *one of the lines* as the "baggage drop-off, priority passenger" line - but it was between two lines - so no way to tell which lane it pertained to. So I got into the line that everyone else was in - and waited (fortunately only a few minutes) only to get to the front of the line - to be told that I was in the wrong line - and to go over to another line. I do as told. After standing in that line for about 10 minutes and seeing that the line wasn't moving (the only line being serviced was the line I just left), I went up and asked what was going on. The customer service rep simply told me "the clerk servicing your line is running late" (it was now 10:15 a.m. - and they were supposed to start selling tickets at 10:00 a.m.) Finally someone shows up at about 10:20 a.m. - never apoligized to those waiting - and it averages him 15 MINUTES per customer. All this time - there are THREE other agents - busy most of the time (but certainly NOT all the time) servicing arriving/boarding passengers). In the entire time I waited, ONLY ONE of the other customer service representatives helped a person buying tickets (it happened to be the same person that told me to go to the other line). I find it incredulous that, as a customer service organization, how they can stay in business with such a poor customer service model. Charging extra to purchase tickets online, and then CLEARLY showing that they also don't want to sell tickets at the airport (only open three days a week - for two hours in a day...and then only having a MINISCULE sign stating even those hours). Having four customer service representatives and only one selling tickets, etc. I completed the purchase of two tickets for Jun; but did not purchase the tickets for May - as the rates weren't competitive with Alaska Airlines - and I KNOW from experience that Alaska doesn't treat their passengers the way Allegiant does theirs - with absolutely NO respect. I know from the time spending in that line - along with about a dozen other customers - that their poor customer service model has cost them future customers.

It seems Canadians these days flying Allegiant Air from Bellingham are the same ones who are willing to line up for 15+ minutes at the gas station across the street to save $0.01/litre at the pump. The check-in (at the front counter) was pretty good @BLI. But that's pretty much where it ends. Boarding is somewhat chaotic. Allegiant Air does have a reputation of not being on time. What's even worse, is how they wont offer any complimentary refreshments or food when people are waiting for a late flight of more than hour or two to depart. Allegiant rarely, if ever enforces their carryon policy. People bring in back-packs and oversize carryones because people are either too cheap or their baggage fees are too expensive. The result: not enough space for carryons to be stored in the cabin. It amazes me how people are willing to risk having their carryon checked in just because they wont pay for baggage and because the cabin is now full. This hurts those who are following the rules and conform to the baggage and carryone policies. Speaking of baggage, Allegiant Air in Bellingham is really rough on our baggage. They tossed it around very aggressively and if you review Allegiant's policy on damage to your luggage, you may be shocked. The pitch of the seats are not bad as previously mentioned, you cannot tilt your seat and there is no place to charge any of your devices. Any blankets offered are very thin. Bathrooms are not the cleanest. The flight attendents aren't friendly like they used to be. I've flown Allegiant about a dozen times over the last 4 years and Allegiant is not like they used to be. Dont be surprised if customers will have to start paying to use the toilet. As Allegiant has increased their fares largely due to demand (from Canadian flyers) you can certainly see the quality suffering. Canadian customers are travelling to Bellingham in large numbers and taking advantage of the situation. As for me, I have pretty much stopped flying Allegiant. The only time I may consider if I can snag a $15-35 fare to Bellingham. But, adding all the other crazy flight charges plus border hassle, time, the risk in you or your flight delayed, the lack of carryon baggage enforcement, I will be flying from Canada or via another US carrier...say, Alaska. Sorry Allegiant, it's be a slice but you've lost me as your customer.

Arrived in plenty of time but line-up was extremely long and I stood in the security line for at least 10 minutes before I found out I was in the wrong line. This close to X-mas I feel Allegiant should have had more than 2 agents behind ticket counter to speed things along and there were also stand-by people in the same line. I realize Bellingham is expanding but just the same I feel Allegiant could do better. Also not impressed with their system of giving numbers if you do not pay for the extra seat fee!!! May check out Alaska nest time.

Alaska Air makes flying fun. They have wonderful attendants and the plane is clean. Service was quick, food was hot. I sometimes fly Allegiant from Bellingham, but, believe me there is no comparison. Alaska makes my heart smile!

Allegiant grabs your attention with their low cost flight advertising but get ready to pay extra for check in bags, snacks and even water! The plane was an MD80 but I think the seats were out of a '47 Willy's Jeep. No adjustment for head support at all. Our flight was delayed on the way back by 2.5 hours, you think they would have given us a complimentary drink or snack or anything but no, it was pay as usual. By the time you factor in the border lineups coming back to Canada and all the little extras Allegiant hits you for, pay the extra 100 bucks and fly out of Vancouver. They don't even post a contact number on their website, just a p.o. box. Don't think I'll be taking this airline again.

I love flying Allegiant as the prices can't be beat. However, loading and unloading is a whole other story. First if you only have carry-on under the seat you get to go on before the above your head people. No problem so far. Plus they open front and back doors for loading. Landing is crazy. People from the front have stuff near the back and visa versa. Why not allow those who have bags at their feet depart first. We cause no uproar, we would leave quickly. But, no so you get the priveledge of early boarding but you wait and wait to deload. They are on time though which is good. Would still fly with them though. I actually save more than enough to fly to LV again. Good going Allegiant.

It is a fairly quick trip to Las Vegas from Bellingham, 2 hours 20 minutes. Both times the flight was fine, BUT the loading and unloading was disasterous. They need to find a way to fix that now! Coming home the flight was good until we landed and I'm assuming it was second in charge who landed and hit so hard we all jumped about 8 inches off our seats. Main thing though, WE ARRIVED SAFELY.

as a large person i enjoy some room for legs and elbows. i usually don't enjoy flying because they pack us in like sardines in a can but this trip was so comfortable. One of the stewardess aboard the plane had a wonderful sense of humor which made the inflight briefing commical where you really couldn't ignore the speach. the cost of the flight was reasonable as well. You knew you were going for a ride but not taken for a ride...thankyou aligient...

Booked this flight on Allegiant expecting a cattle-car experience for the price ($95 roundtrip). Instead I was delighted with the seats, leg room, the friendly staff, and pain-free airport experience (though the last one is likely more a factor of the tiny BLI airport than Allegiant specifically). All-in-all, a definitely viable option for Seattle/Vancouver residents even taking the drive to BLI into account.

After a lengthy delay we finally boarded our flight only to have problems with the plane and have a forced return to Vegas. Even with this scary incident, once we were placed on another flight, the service was terrible and we weren't even offered a free glass of water. Our flight cost was very low on a seat sale and I guess you get what you pay for. The flight attendants are the worst I've ever seen on any airline.
