I booked a flight the day of a family emergency on February 11th. My father purchased it online via travelocity. I showed up the next morning to catch the flight only to find out that depite having a confirmation number- the ticket showed reserved but not purchased on the US Airways computer and they directed me to contact Travelocity. Meanwhile I missed the original 10:30 flight.

While this was getting sorted out my Dad ended up having to cancel the previously booked and paid for flight and book a later flight at 1:55pm.

Niether Travelocity or US Airways would accomodate me or take care of the "glitch" becuase niether felt at falt and blamed the other for not honoring the ticket. Meanwhile I am losing precious time to visit a relative with Stage 4 liver cancer who has been diagnosed with hours to live.

I told them that, but no empathy.

I will never use travelocity or US Airways again and will be telling everybody this story.

Shame on both companies, their customer service is poor.
