I was a dedicated Continental frequent flyer. Service was good and, up until recently they still provided pillows, blankets, and meals during their flights. I really appreciated all of these things.
I used up the remainder of my frequent flyer miles to purchase a RT ticket from Austin to San Diego. Departures and arrivals were on time, but the service is just not what it used to be before Continental merged with United. Passengers were shuffled on and shuffled off the plane with no more service than a bus. I miss the service that Continental was once known for, and now I feel I no longer have any more loyalty to United/Continental.

Southwest airlines round trip flights Austin, TX to San Diego, CA in early October were well done. Easy check in, friendly staff, nice in-flight service. Flights not full, so plenty of room. Overall enjoyable experience.
