When I checked my suitcase in at the counter, Delta charged me $25 for the bag. I am 71 and it is hard for me to manuver a suitcase along with my medications in a large handbag also. I realize it was an economy flight, but the seats were cramped and it was I guess OK, but on taking off the wheels were taken up with a creak and a tremendous vibrating thud against the floor of the cabin and that was a no no for me. I did not feel very confident. To top it off I had a free ticket hooked on to my suitcase when I retrieved it at baggage. I still have the $25 baggage charge. That made me mad to say the least. I have the receipt but who wants to drive 40 miles to the Austin airport to get it.

When it was time for my departure from Memphis I cancelled my flight home because they were having downpours of 3 to 4 inches an hour in Austin. I was not going home on a rickety plane like that. I am not a good flyer unless I feel secure. Then they wanted to charge me another $211 to pick another flight in two days. Forget it!! I rented a car (Ill never use hertz again either. I was a fool not to listen to my friends who said they are expensive.) and drove the two days it took me to go home. No more Delta or Hertz for me. Thank you.
