We are still waiting for payment for the lost items, and I have sent an email to Delta asking for some recompense on the flight due to the loss of a vacation. My friend Donna Heck had issues with Delta on the same weekend. She has already received 300.00 on future flights per ticket...but us, nothing.

We travel quite a bit and know what a good customer experience is verses a not so good one. Our American flight was good both on departure as well as the return. Even though we were delayed a couple of hours on our way back home, the staff handled it quite well & we appreciated that especially having to fly into Chicago for the sudden death of my father. The looming question is why did we have to hurry and board (the advice of flight attendants cuz' we were already late) only to have to sit on tarmack for 45 more minutes. Had to wait while mail was loaded-we watched this VERY slow process and then lost our placement for take off due to mail loading.

“OK, but Memphis is not an enjoyable airport or experience”

Delta needs to help the Memphis airport improve. It's not clean, there were no towels in the restroom and the services, food, etc. are limited. And the flights typically have short layovers there. We also were given improper information regarding our carry on luggage in Chicago. We ended up getting our bags a day late because of it.

I took an early morning flight from Austin to Chicago with United. The flight left the gate earlier than departure time and we landed more than 30 minutes early. I really appreciated United's efficiency and dedication to getting its customers to Chicago earlier than on time. The flight crew was polite, too.

American is terrific. Was able to board early. We even arrived ahead of schedule. Will continue to use American. Wheel chair attendants were very helpful as was the check in attendant.
