On this flight, I was "told" to move to accommodate a handicapped passenger by the person boarding the passenger. The passenger was assigned a middle seat in a row of three. He needed assistance and should have been placed in a window seat of two, but not in a row of three.

I assisted the passenger with his tray, his beverage (was actually just handed his water because he requested a bottle of water), and with his catheter bag. The cabin crew never checked on him and the other passenger in the window seat and I were pretty much stuck the entire flight. To exit when the flight landed, we had to crawl over him to leave the aircraft.

I had no concerns with helping the passenger, even moving my seat, but it was not necessary to place him there. They were boarding other standbys and could have accommodated everyone nicely if they cared. The seat they placed him in was only available the night before because my husband had to cancel his travel plans.
